Lightweight Aluminum Structures for Architectural Cover Systems

Structural design services were delivered for a variety of lightweight aluminum cover systems, including entryway awnings, walkway covers, architectural shade structures, and overhead screening elements. The design scope involved configuring both primary and secondary aluminum members, developing tensioned cable-supported solutions, and detailing custom connection systems to ensure long-term stability and performance. Advanced analysis tools were used to evaluate structural behavior under environmental loading conditions such as wind and snow. Special attention was given to the unique mechanical properties of aluminum, with a focus on serviceability, deformation limits, and aesthetic integration.
